NextGen Ranger & Everest Full Digital Instrument Cluster Upgrade Kit
NextGen Ranger & Everest Full Digital Instrument Cluster Upgrade Kit
Introducing brand new full digital instrument clusters tailored for your NextGen!
Add that extra touch in your ranger by upgrading your cluster to a full digital cluster that the Raptors & Platinums have!
This cluster will be programmed to your vehicle.
Everest: If you have an Everest, you’d typically select the “Everest” cluster to keep the correct vehicle images. However, you can choose the “Raptor” cluster if you don’t mind Raptor-themed images instead of those specific to your Everest.
Ranger: For standard Ranger owners, the “Ranger” cluster is recommended to maintain the vehicle’s specific images. But, there’s an option to switch to the “Raptor” cluster for more features, with the trade-off being that your display will show Ranger Raptor images instead.
Raptor Cluster vs. Ranger Cluster:
- Enhanced visual aesthetics around the dials
- ECO mode is replaced with Baja mode
- Additional features include: MyGauges, measurements, voltage, and shift indicator
All provided instrument clusters will show the vehicle’s existing drive modes. For extra drive modes, programming is done separately from the cluster otherwise they are 100% plug and play.
Selecting a Raptor cluster necessitates further vehicle programming. I can handle this in certain areas, or if you use Forscan, I can provide a file for self-programming.
2-litre vehicles won’t activate a boost gauge; this feature will remain disabled during programming as the 2.0 does not send a compatible messages.
Every cluster is specifically programmed to match your vehicle model. Mileage can either start from 0.5km or match your current odometer reading pre-delivery.
Installation:
This kit will include factory removal/installation instructions. With basic tools, you can replace the cluster in roughly 15 minutes. However, to avoid any mishaps, we recommend taking 30-45 minutes and using plastic panel tools (available on eBay). Alternatively, seek a professional auto electrician or fitter.
If you require installation at Seaford Victoria, or Gold Coast Queensland then please allow an additional $120.
Q&A
- Can Ford update the cluster? No. Any future updates are unlikely but at same time the likelihood of any update to your cluster software over the vehicles lifetime is virtually zero (New features come to new vehicles not past vehicles). Your Ford’s server-side part number remains unchanged so security access for updates would be denied. Any cluster diagnostics will continue to function and you dealer will be able to check and clear diagnostic fault codes if present.
- Will these modifications impact my warranty? No. According to Ford’s policy, the vehicle warranty will not be voided if a modification does not detrimentally affect any part of the vehicle. Here’s the exact wording from the manufacturer: “Will the Ford Vehicle Warranty be excluded if I have the vehicle modified and the modification does not adversely affect any part of the vehicle? No. However, Ford does not warrant the workmanship of, nor any material, Part, component, assembly, equipment or accessory (unless such material, Part, component, assembly, equipment or accessory has been supplied or approved by Ford for the purpose)”. For a more comprehensive understanding, I recommend you go through the warranty booklet available here Ford Warranty Document. If you have any lingering concerns, it may be best to avoid vehicle modifications.
- Are the instrument clusters genuine? Absolutely. Each one is a brand-new, genuine Ford part, ensuring top quality without being second-hand.
- Will X still work and Y still display this? Yes, all functions and gauges will operate just as they did before.
- If I’ve modified the fuel tank size on my Everest, can I maintain this DTE change? Unfortunately, no. The update will reset to the factory DTE specifications, as the 12-inch cluster doesn’t support the DTE modification.
- For a Ranger with a long-range fuel tank, will the DTE still be accurate? Yes, but it’s limited to a 140-liter adjustment, which can be done through your Ford dealer or by me, if needed.
These clusters are ordered as we get the order, so please allow two weeks for shipping. We will email you once your cluster arrives for programming information.
