Unlock Sport Mode for your NextGen Ford Ranger or Everest - Plus Any Other Factory Drive Modes Your Vehicle Supports

Sport Mode is the one everyone wants.

The Sport Mode Programmer unlocks the additional factory drive modes available for your NextGen Ford Ranger, Ranger Raptor or Everest, with Sport Mode being the headline upgrade on compatible Ranger and Everest models.

But it doesn't stop at Sport Mode.

The OBD Programmer automatically detects your vehicle's existing configuration and enables any additional factory drive modes your particular vehicle supports, including Sport, Rock Crawl, Mud/Ruts, Sand and Tow/Haul where applicable.

Sport Mode

For compatible Ranger and Everest models, Sport Mode provides a more responsive and dynamic on-road driving experience.

Once enabled, Sport Mode appears alongside your vehicle's existing factory drive modes and can be selected using the factory drive mode knob on your centre console.

More Than Just Sport Mode

Although we're calling it the Sport Mode Programmer, the programmer isn't limited to enabling Sport Mode.

Different Ranger, Raptor and Everest variants come with different drive modes from factory. The programmer detects what your vehicle already has and enables the applicable missing factory drive modes it supports.

Depending on your vehicle, these can include:

Sport Mode
Designed for more responsive on-road driving, adjusting vehicle systems to provide a more dynamic driving experience.

Rock Crawl Mode
Designed for controlled, low-speed driving over challenging off-road terrain where precise vehicle control and traction are important.

Mud/Ruts Mode
Designed for off-road situations, helping maintain vehicle momentum while allowing some wheel slip to assist in clearing mud from the tyre tread.

Sand Mode
Designed for use in sand and deep snow conditions, optimising power delivery, gear shifts and stability control to help maintain vehicle momentum and minimise braking distances.

Tow/Haul Mode - Ranger Raptor Only
Adds the factory Tow/Haul Mode to the Ranger Raptor. Designed for towing or carrying heavy loads, Tow/Haul Mode optimises gear shift timing to maintain power delivery and provide increased engine braking in hilly terrain. It also increases steering weight for improved control when towing.

Your Vehicle Determines What's Added

The exact drive modes added depend on your model and its existing factory configuration.

Ranger & Everest:
The programmer detects your vehicle's existing configuration and enables the applicable missing modes, including Sport Mode, Rock Crawl Mode, Mud/Ruts and Sand where supported.

Ranger Raptor:
The Raptor already comes equipped with Sport Mode from factory, so the programmer adds the applicable missing factory drive mode - Tow/Haul Mode.

This means you're purchasing one programmer that automatically determines which additional factory drive modes your vehicle can support and applies the appropriate configuration.

Plug & Play Programming

1. Turn the ignition ON.
2. Plug the OBD Programmer into the vehicle's OBD-II port.
3. The programmer backs up your vehicle's current configuration, identifies the required configuration and begins programming.
4. Wait for the LED to turn solid green.
5. Remove the programmer.

During programming, the instrument cluster and SYNC 4 may restart. This is completely normal. Do not unplug the OBD Programmer or switch the ignition off while programming is in progress.

Factory Roller Shutter Reset

If you have a Wildtrak or a Ranger delivered with a factory roller shutter, you will need to reset the roller shutter after programming.

1. With the roller shutter fully open, press and hold the button until the roller shutter reaches half open.
2. Press and hold the button until the roller shutter reaches fully open. Continue pressing the button for at least 4 seconds.
3. Release the button.
4. Within 10 seconds of releasing the button, press and hold the button until the roller shutter fully closes. Continue to press the button for at least 4 seconds.
5. If the roller shutter does not open when you press the button, repeat the procedure.

Restore Back to Factory Anytime

During the first programming session, the OBD Programmer stores your vehicle's current configuration, allowing the vehicle to be restored back to its original settings at any time by plugging the programmer back into the same vehicle.

Please note: The OBD Programmer detects your vehicle's existing drive modes and enables the applicable additional factory drive modes supported by your vehicle. Ranger Raptor already has Sport Mode and receives Tow/Haul Mode.
