Charge Your Battery to 100%
The Dual Battery Mode Programmer changes the factory charging behaviour of your NextGen Ranger or Everest by enabling Dual Battery Mode (DBM) and disabling Smart Charge.
From factory, Ford's Smart Charge system can regulate battery charging to around 80% rather than continuously maintaining a full charge.
Once programmed, Smart Charge is disabled, allowing the alternator to charge the vehicle battery up to 100%. Particularly useful for touring setups, accessories and vehicles running a dual battery system.
Enable Dual Battery Mode & Disable Smart Charge
The programmer makes both required changes automatically:
Enables Dual Battery Mode (DBM)
Changes the vehicle's factory charging configuration to better suit a dual battery setup.
Disables Smart Charge
Removes the factory Smart Charge strategy that can limit the vehicle battery's state of charge, allowing it to charge fully to 100%.
No laptop, FORScan, coding or permanent aftermarket modules required.
Plug & Play Programming

Turn the ignition ON.

Plug the OBD Programmer into the vehicle's OBD-II port.

The programmer backs up your vehicle's current configuration and begins programming.

Wait for the LED to turn solid green.

Remove the programmer.
During programming, the instrument cluster and SYNC 4 may restart. This is completely normal. Do not unplug the programmer or switch the ignition off while programming is in progress.
Restore Back Anytime
During the first programming session, the OBD Programmer stores your vehicle's current configuration, allowing the vehicle to be restored back to its original settings at any time by plugging the programmer back into the same vehicle.
